Crowds (big or small) – welcome. Revel in each other’s company in Permit Room Brighton. Throw any kind of ‘do’ you want: birthday celebration, work-do, team lunch, anniversary, book club. Bring friends, families, colleagues – the more the merrier. Tuck into a sit-down Party Spread or work the room with Party Bites, canapé-style. In the morning, wake spirits with the Breakfast menu. We’ll take care of everything while you sit back.
Private Hire: The Rooftop Terrace – aka The Aunty Bar – is yours for 12–24 guests. A top spot for open-air celebrations, with comfy seating and shady spots.
Semi-Private Hire: Our café seats 20–55 guests in one happy-go-lucky section inside.

Pick your menu
Choose a sit-down celebration with our Party Spread group menu or wander and nibble on Party Bites, canapé-style. Each one’s packed with crowd-pleasing favourites: airiest Onion Bhajia, Dishoom Chicken Ruby and Chocolate Brownie with Malai. Pick your perfect mix of non-veg., veg. or vegan options (all dishes are halal-friendly, too).
Let chefs do their thing while you sink into fizz, frozen lipsters, a few crisp pints from a Permit Room x Kingfisher Beer Tower or delicious teetotals. Our Drinks menu is awash with cocktails, wines, beers and cleverly crafted drops (pre-order drinks to make things easy).

Enjoy a damn-fine breakfast together. Our everyday Breakfast menu is jam-packed with tasty dishes. Order your own or select a mix to dig into. A round of Ginger Shots to fire-up brains. Freshly baked Naan Rolls. Nicely spiced fry-ups. Feel-good fruits & grains. Washed down with hot chai, coffee and fresh juices. For something stronger – Bloody Marys and Marmalade Mimosas.

Bookings
Private hire on the Rooftop Terrace is available for 12–24 guests, Sunday to Thursday all day, Friday to Saturday until 6pm. Semi-private hire inside our café is available for 20–55 guests for breakfast and lunch, Monday to Friday until 3pm. (Bookings are available year-round, excluding bank holidays.)
The Party Spread and Party Bites group menus are £41 per person, available at lunch and dinner. (Please note: this does not include the 12.5% service charge.) We ask for a £100 deposit to secure your booking (taken off the final bill). If you need to cancel for any reason, give us a shout 72 hours before your booking and we’ll happily refund your deposit.

Private & Semi-Private Hire
Yes, we have a private Rooftop Terrace and a semi-private space in our restaurant dining area. Tables will shimmy and shuffle according to party size and type of feast. Either way, expect a mix of tables rather than one long set-up.
