1962, Bombay. The underground lottery – Matka – is wild (also the Hindi word for pot). At Permit Room, Matka is our in-house game of chance inspired by this underground riot.
Same spirit, no secrets. Come roll a dice without breaking rules.
Here's how it works
After your meal, ask your server for the bill and flash your Matka token. A wooden board, a brass pot and one die will appear. Shake-shake, then roll. If it’s a six, your meal is on us. Your whole table. The whole bill. Yes, we’re serious. Revel in it.
(Small note: the Matka token’s powers only work before 6pm on weekdays, for tables of up to 12. Valid at Permit Room and Dishoom cafés).

Just ask your server when you next visit, or pick one up when you arrive for your feast.
