Take over the first floor of Permit Room Portobello – a very nice room, for a very big crowd. Throw any kind of ‘do’ you want (birthday, work-do, proper snazzy celebration). For up to 50 guests – it’s yours. Tuck into a Sit-Down Spread of moreish plates for sharing, or work the room with Party Bites (canapé-style). We’ll take care of everything while you sit back.

Food & Drink

Choose a sit-down celebration with our sharing-style Party Spread menus for up to 30 guests. Or wander and nibble on Party Bites for up to 50. Each one’s packed with crowd-pleasing favourites: picky-snacky-crispy savouries, hearty-for-your-party ruby murrays, dark and fudgy sweet things. Non-veg, veg. and vegan options for all.

Let chefs do their thing while you sink into drinks. Fizz, frozen lipsters, a few crisp pints from a Permit Room x Kingfisher Beer Tower. Or teetotally delicious teetotals. (Pre-order drinks to make things easy.)

Bookings

This (very nice) room is yours to book, Sunday – Thursday (excluding Bank Holidays). Feed up to 30 guests with a Sit-Down Spread, or up to 50 standing with Party Bites (£3750 minimum spend for both). We ask for a £100 deposit to secure your booking (taken off the final bill). If you need to cancel for any reason, give us a shout 72 hours before your booking and we’ll happily refund your deposit.

Availability

Private hire is available Monday to Thursday (day and night) and Sunday night only. Booking times are flexible.

Layout

Tables will shimmy and shuffle according to party size and type of feast. Either way, expect a mix of tables rather than one long set-up.

The Sit-Down Spread and party Bites

£39.50 per person.

Minimum Spend

£3,750, required across food and drink. If your total bill doesn’t hit this minimum, we’ll adjust it to £3750. (Please note: minimum spends don’t include the 12.5% service charge.)
