Thums Up Sazerac

Lighter evenings, breezy curtains and a table laid with chatter calls for something short and boozy to sip on.

Our Daru-wallas have mixed our fizzy-favourite Thums Up with the classic Sazerac to create a knock-out cocktail. Enjoy the full recipe below and shake to your heart's content as the night unfolds.

Serves 4

INGREDIENTS

To make the Thums Up reduction:

  1. Pour the Thums Up into the pan and stir until no longer fizzy.
  2. Heat to 80°C
  3. Slowly mix in the white sugar until completely dissolved.
  4. Heat to 120°C and leave for 30 minutes.
  5. Add the cinnamon sticks and leave for a further 30 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat and add fresh lime juice.
  7. Strain to remove cinnamon sticks.

To make the Thums Up Sazerac:

  1. Mix all ingredients together until well combined.
  2. Bottle and store in the freezer.
  3. Pour yourself a glass. Enjoy!
